Cheerleader ‘s National Victory Story:Entrepreneurial spirit in Action

Cheerleaders studied the course curriculum and wrote their own cheer which was presented at the first Marketplace Fair They were a total smash!

This video has the voice of two passionate supporters of our program from the beginning, without whose wisdom and expertise the program would not exist. David Marquis developed much of the curriculum and placed the program in inner-city schools. Roberta Davenport, principal of Ps 307, located in one Brooklyn lowest income area, help shape and improve the educational excellence of the program elements she described with such clarity.

Alison Pepper describes the Moneybox she developed in response to 40 families asking for an in-home learning program that captured the educational power and fun of the Marketplace  Fair. Over the last 3 years, Equitable Communities has worked with the community to improve the educational impact of the Box and expand Entrepreneurial learning opportunities. A new community generated  saving plan has a whole community saving for college and special treats.
